FORMATTING A CARD
The supplied card must be formatted with this camera. In addition, a card
must be formatted with this camera:
i After purchasing, when used for the first time, or
i If it was formatted using a personal computer or another digital camera.
For more information on handling the cards, see “Cautions when handling the
cards” on page 24.
The card cannot be reformatted if the write-protect tab is set to the “LOCK”
position. Proceed with the reformat procedure after setting the tab to the
unlocked position (see page 25).
1 Display the Option Setting Mode
Screen (see page 133).
2 Select the reformat icon .
3 Press the SET button.
h The Reformat Screen appears.
4 Select “YES”.
5 Press the SET button.
h Reformatting begins.
h During reformatting, “REFORMAT”
and “DO NOT POWER OFF” are
shown on the LCD monitor.
h When reformatting is finished, you
are returned to the Option Setting
Mode Screen.
