Measuring AC voltage
1. Connect the black test probe to the "
COM
" jack and the red test probe to
the " " jack (or " " jack).
2. Set the function switch to or mV. Tips: The " " position is used for AC-V
measurement and the "
m
" position for AC-mV measurement.
3. Connect the test probes to both ends of the circuit to be measured.
4. Take readings.
Measuring DC or AC current
1. Connect the black test probe to the
"COM"
jack and the red test probe to
the" " jack (or " " jack).
2. Set the function switch to the " " position.
3. Press the yellow button to select the AC current or DC current
measurement function and the corresponding symbol will appear on the
screen.
4. Disconnect the power to the circuit to be measured, connect the test
probes in series to it, and then turn on its power.
5. Take readings. When measuring the DC current, the polarity of the end
connected to red test probe will also be indicated.
To avoid electric shock or damage to the meter, do not apply a voltage
greater than 600V to the input.
Note
Measuring resistance
1. Connect the black test probe to the
"COM
" jack and the red test probe to
the " " jack (or " " jack).
2. Set the function switch to the " " position. The meter defaults to
the resistance measurement function. When the meter is in the diode test
function (the " " symbol appears) or the continuity test function (the
" " symbol appears), press the yellow button until the meter is in the
resistance measurement function (the " " and " " symbols are not
Note
To avoid electric shock or damage to the meter, do not apply a
voltage greater than 600V to the input.
