Operating Instructions SATA vision 2000
Store the unused breathing protection hood in a clean, dry location.
Do not store the breathing protection hood together with protective
suits.
General
The use of hearing protection and noise-reducing communication
equipment can impair the audibility of the warning device.
Comply with the local regulations on safety, occupational health & safe-
ty and environmental protection.
Observe the accident prevention regulations of DGUV Regulation 100-
500.
3. Use
Intended Use
The breathing protection hood is part of the breathing protection appara-
tus and supplies the user with clean air for breathing.
The breathing protection apparatus protects the user from inhaling harm-
ful substances from the ambient atmosphere during spraying work or from
a lack of oxygen.
Incorrect use
The breathing protection hood is not intended for use in ambient atmos-
pheres subject to radiation or heat.
4. Description
The breathing protection hood is part of the breathing protection appara-
tus and serves to supply the wearer with clean air for breathing; it consists
of the main components:
Head band (adjustable with ratchet and perforated band with latching
mechanism)
Spherical cup for attachment of the head/breast cloth (hook-and-loop
tape)
Hinged carrier frame with hood inlay, plug nipple and visor foil (lockable
with two screws)
Head/breast cloth, grey and removable
Breathing air hose with connection nipple
Variant 1 [1]
Belt unit with activated charcoal absorber [1-7], air control valve, acti-
vated charcoal absorber for breathing air, compressed air connection
and volumetric ow indicator [1-13] (gure with optional air warmer
[1-14] and optional air humidier [1-4])
