4. Open the hood on the other vehicle and locate the
positive (+) and negative (−) terminal locations on
that vehicle.
Open the hood on your vehicle and find the remote
positive (+) and remote negative (−) jump starting
terminals.
The remote positive (+) terminal is located in the
engine compartment on the driver’s side of the
vehicle, on the underhood fuse block. See Engine
Compartment Overview on page 5-12 for more
information on location.
Access the remote
positive (+) terminal by
removing the fuse
block cover.
The remote negative (−) terminal is located toward
the rear of the engine compartment, on the
driver’s side of the vehicle.
{CAUTION:
An electric fan can start up even when the
engine is not running and can injure you. Keep
hands, clothing and tools away from any
underhood electric fan.
