If the red LED is lit on your Schumacher Media Converter, it could be due to several reasons. First, the battery voltage might be below 10 volts; in this case, recharge or replace the battery. Second, the equipment you're operating might be drawing too much power, so use a higher capacity converter or discontinue use with the equipment. Third, the converter might be too hot, triggering a thermal shutdown; allow it to cool and ensure adequate ventilation.
