Overview

The HRLE Series Thermo-chiller is a compact dual/basic type circulating fluid temperature controller designed for laser applications, offering both air-cooled and water-cooled refrigeration options. It is engineered for precise temperature control, space saving, and energy efficiency, with a newly added 5 kW cooling capacity specification (HRLE050).

Function Description:

The HRLE Series controls the temperature of two independent fluid channels (CH1: Oscillator and CH2: Optical system) using a single compressor, pump, and tank. This dual-channel control is achieved through a sophisticated refrigeration circuit that utilizes expansion valves A, B, and C to either cool or heat the circulating fluid. For heating, the system can circulate hot discharged gas from the refrigerant, eliminating the need for a separate heater and contributing to energy savings. The system also features a facility water circuit for water-cooled models, which regulates refrigerant gas pressure and flow rate.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Cooling Capacity: Available in various capacities, including 5 kW (HRLE050) and 8.0/9.5 kW (HRLE090) for air-cooled, and 9.5/11.0 kW for water-cooled models (total CH1, 2).
  • Temperature Stability: Achieves high precision with ±0.1°C for CH1 and ±0.5°C for CH2 when the load is stable.
  • Set Temperature Range: CH1: 15 to 25°C; CH2: CH1 + 0 to 15°C.
  • Refrigerant: Uses R410A (HFC).

  • Deionized Water (Pure Water) Piping (Option): Ensures contact materials are non-copper for compatibility with deionized water.
  • Inverter for Pump (Option): Increases pump capacity and allows for auto control of pressure without valve adjustments.
  • Electric Conductivity Control Set (Option): Allows arbitrary setting of circulating fluid electric conductivity (0.5 to 45.0 µS/cm).
  • Particle Filter Set (Option): Removes foreign matter from the circulating fluid, preventing pump malfunction and maintaining condenser performance.
  • Anti-freezing Operation Function: Automatically operates the pump to warm circulating fluid if it approaches freezing point.

Maintenance Features:

  • Periodical Inspection (Every Three Months):
    • Inspect circulating fluid: Replace regularly to prevent bacteria or algae growth.
    • Tank cleaning: Check for dirt, slime, or foreign matter and clean the tank regularly.
    • Ethylene glycol aqueous solution: Use a concentration meter to confirm concentration does not exceed 15% and adjust as needed.
  • Periodical Inspection (Winter Season): Make water-removal arrangements beforehand if there is a risk of freezing. Consult a professional for additional anti-freezing functions if needed.
