  If the power vise on your Scotchman Saw won't clamp, unclamp, or is stuck, there are several things to check: * First, ensure the air supply to the vise is working correctly. Air should reach the front when clamping and the side for unclamping. If not, inspect the limit switches and then the PK solenoid. * Second, verify that air isn't leaking past the seals to the other side of the cylinder when air is applied to one side. If leakage occurs, the seals will need replacement. * Third, if the cylinder is stuck due to rust from water contamination or insufficient oil from the oiler, disassemble the power vise cylinder, clean it, and replace the seals.
