Fill Hopper
With the spreader hopper closed (trigger control away from handle), fill
the spreader over a patch of bare ground or driveway/sidewalk.
DO NOT fill spreader on the lawn. Sweep up any spilled product.
Apply
Start walking, then squeeze and hold trigger to release product.

Set Rate
Find the rate setting for "Scotts Drop Spreader" found on the back of the
Scotts product package.
Turn the micrometer until that number appears in the micrometer window.

Never leave product in spreader. Pour leftover
material back into the package and seal package tightly.
Wash spreader after each use.
Lubricate axle bearings with light oil.
Store in a dry place.

strips at each end of the lawn and then go back and forth.
For irregular-shaped lawns, apply one header
strip around the entire lawn, and then go back and forth.

How to Assemble Your AccuGreen 1000

Frame Legs Assembly

Insert frame legs into hopper slots and attach with bolts and thumbnuts.

Wheel Installation

Slide wheels onto axle, add washers, secure with cotter pins, and snap on hubcaps.

Handle Attachment

Attach handle assembly using bolts and thumbnuts, ensuring the micrometer window faces front.

Micrometer Wire Setup

Screw the micrometer barrel into the housing and tighten all nuts once assembly is complete.

How to Calibrate the Spreader

Set Micrometer

Turn the micrometer until the number '6' is centered in the micrometer window.

Position Spreader for Calibration

Stand the spreader on its handle, press the control lever, and observe the shutoff bar position.

Check Shutoff Bar Alignment

Verify the shutoff bar aligns with the calibration line at the hopper bottom when the control lever is pressed.

Adjust Calibration Screw

Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise if the bar covers the line, or clockwise if it's below the line.
