The spreader settings are guidelines only. The spreader should be calibrated

prior to application to ensure accuracy. The spreader settings are based on a

walking speed of 5 km/hour. Walking faster or slower than 5 km/hour

will alter the spread width and application rate. Exact rates are dependent

upon the spreader itself and the accuracy of the person operating it.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning: After each use, the spreader should be emptied, thoroughly washed, and dried in a sunny or heated area to prevent moisture-caused clumping and corrosion. All residue should be cleaned from the rotor plate.
Lubrication:
- Periodically grease the axle bearing housings using a grease gun, as indicated in the assembly instructions.
- Apply a small amount of grease to the gear teeth.
- Periodically oil the pivot points on the main shutoff/rate control linkage and the spring inside the rate control housing.
- Grease the gear carrier fittings.
Inspection: Periodically clean and inspect the gears by removing the gearbox cover halves. Ensure gearbox cover halves are reinstalled prior to use.
Tire Pressure: Maintain tire pressure at a maximum of 20 psi.
Axle Assembly: If the axle requires disassembly, it must be reassembled so the drive wheel attaches on the right side. Incorrect assembly will result in the rotor plate not rotating in a counter-clockwise direction, leading to incorrect spread patterns.
Hopper Cover: The provided transparent hopper cover should be used to protect turf product from light rain or windy conditions during transportation.
