sealed connection port and the screw cap with fresh
water (low pressure, for example, using a garden hose
or watering can). Avoid leaving any scratches on the
sealing surfaces or contact surfaces. Clean and dry off
sealing / contact surfaces by blowing them out or us-
ing a soft cloth and / or cotton swab.
Dirty and / or damaged seals can re-
duce the effectiveness of the seal!
Ensure that there are no dried salt deposits on the con-
nector or the contacts of the connection port. Salt de-
posits inhibit the flow of electricity during charging and
can cause electrical contacts to overheat, resulting in ir-
reparable damage to the contacts or even fires affecting
the contacts or cable.
6.2 Changing the screw cap
Even minute damage or dirt on the screw cap can reduce
the effectiveness of the seal, resulting in damage to the
connection port as well as damage to the motor and the
motor‘s electronic system. For this reason, a damaged
screw cap should be replaced immediately.
To purchase a screw cap that you can replace yourself,
contact the manufacturer or your specialist dealer. This
component is sold as a replacement part.
