Open the cardboard box and remove the tray and scale.
Remove the O-ring which secures the sliding weights and retain it for future transport operations.
Secure the sliding weight bar by tilting the locking device downwards.
Place the tray centrally on the scale, ensuring locking levers engage under the housing.
Attach the tray to the scale by pressing down the locking levers.
Release the securing lock mechanism on the scale.
Set the scale to 0 kg/lbs by adjusting sliding weights and tare weight if necessary.
Fix the tare weight in position using the knurled nut for weighing objects up to 3000g.
Set the hand and counter-hand exactly by turning the fine taring screw.
