Important safety instructions
Please take time to fully read these safety instructions carefully before plugging your machine into the
power supply. Please follow the instructions carefully.
• Electric shock hazard! Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.
• Only connect to a properly grounded socket.
• To make sure that the machine is switched off, pull the plug out from the socket.
• Always pull out the plug before:
⋅ Moving the machine;
⋅ Machine cleaning or maintenance.;
⋅ Long periods of non-use.
• Never restrict or run the power cable over sharp corners or edges.
• Electric shock hazard! Damaged power cables can only be replaced at a specialized service centre.
• Electric shock hazard! Never touch the machine/ plug/socket/power cable with damp or wet hands. Never unplug by pulling out
the power cable; always unplug it from the socket.
• If you need to use an extension cable, make sure it is compatible with your machine (-3pole grounded, 1.5 mm2 conductor
cross-section). Lay the cable to avoid trip hazards.
• Scald hazard! Never move the machine when it is operating!
• Never operate the machine without water.
• Always make sure the water in the water tank does not fall below the minimum level.
• Scald hazard! Never touch the very hot parts of the machine when using it.
• Scald hazard! Do not touch the steam or water spray.
• Scald hazard! Do not move the operating lever when the machine is still pressurised and is preparing the coffee.
