Function Description:

The Seiko Astron 3X62 GPS Solar Watch is designed to automatically adjust its time and date by receiving GPS signals from satellites. This ensures precise timekeeping based on an atomic clock and accurate time zone information for the user's current location. The watch features a solar charging function, converting light into electrical energy to power its operations. It also includes an in-flight mode to prevent interference with other electronic devices during air travel and an automatic hand position alignment function to correct any misalignment of the hour, minute, and seconds hands.

Usage Features:

Time Zone Adjustment: The watch can automatically adjust to the correct time zone by receiving GPS signals. For regions where time zone information has changed, manual time difference setting and adjustment are required.
Automatic Time Adjustment: The watch automatically adjusts the time in accordance with action patterns during use, provided it receives sufficient light.
Manual Time Adjustment: Allows users to manually set the time difference and adjust the time, especially useful when GPS signals cannot be received or when traveling across time zone borders.
Solar Charging: The watch charges when exposed to light. An indicator hand displays the charging status (low, middle, full). Regular exposure to light is recommended to maintain optimal energy levels.
GPS Signal Reception: To receive GPS signals, the watch should be in an open outdoor area with good visibility. Reception may be difficult indoors, near tall buildings, in wooded areas, or underground.
In-flight Mode: This mode prevents GPS signal reception, which can interfere with aircraft electronics. The indicator hand points to a specific position when this mode is active. It must be reset after leaving an airplane.
Leap Second Reception: The watch automatically receives and inserts leap second data when GPS signals are periodically received, typically on or after June 1st and December 1st.

Maintenance Features:

Daily Care: Avoid washing the watch with the crown extended. Wipe away moisture, sweat, or dirt with a soft cloth. After seawater exposure, wash with clean pure water and dry carefully. Do not pour running water directly onto the watch; instead, soak it in a bowl of water.
Crown Operation: Turn the crown from time to time to prevent corrosion.
Button Operation: Press buttons occasionally to prevent corrosion.
Charging Status Check: The indicator hand shows the charging status. If the charge is low, the watch may not be able to receive GPS signals.
Secondary Battery: The watch uses a special secondary battery. Replacement should be done by a Seiko Customer Service Center. Installation of an ordinary silver oxide battery can cause heat generation and bursting.
Overcharge Prevention: The watch has an overcharge prevention function that automatically activates to avoid further charging.
Magnetic Resistance: Keep the watch more than 5 cm away from common magnetic products (smartphones, AC adapters, bags with magnetic buckles, AC-powered shavers, magnetic cooking devices, portable radios, magnetic necklaces, magnetic health pillows) to prevent time gain or loss.
Band Care: Metallic bands should be kept clean to prevent rust and skin irritation. Polyurethane bands require regular cleaning to prevent discoloration and moisture damage. Leather bands should be kept dry and clean to prevent discoloration and odor.
Lumibrite: The luminous paint on the watch absorbs light energy and emits light in the dark. Exposure to strong light for about 10 minutes can provide 3 to 5 hours of luminescence.
After Sales Service: Contact the retailer or a Seiko Customer Service Center for repairs, warranty claims, and replacement parts. Periodic inspection and adjustment are recommended every 3 to 4 years.
