Make a phone call from
personal directory
1. press one of the arrows buttons to access the personal directory
2. scoll the names/numbers
3. choose the name/number and confirm with enter
4. make the phone call by pressing enter
Make a phone call from
corporate directory
The corporate directory can use contacts/speed numbers of SAMIP
system or of the LDAP server. Making a phone call can vary as
follows.
CORPORATE DIRECTORY uses the contacts of the system
It is possible to make a phone call from the address book of SAMIP
system (numbers and speed numbers[*]). Search the names in the
corporate directory by scrolling the list with the UP and DOWN arrows
button or by editing, with the alphanumeric keys, a name or a part of it
and then press enter. Subsequently all the stored names + telephone
numbers + speed numbers, alphabetically ordered, are displayed
starting from the name required.
1. press enter to access the corporate directory
2. scroll the menu up to MAIN TEL. BOOK
3. scroll the name/number with UP and DOWN arrows or edit a
name, or a part of it with the alphanumeric keysmake the phone
call by pressing enter
[*] The telephone must be enabled to access the speed numbers table
which contains the name to call; if near the name there is an “X”, it
indicates that the number cannot be read and the call cannot be made
(customization up to the system administrator).
CORPORATE DIRECTORY uses the contacts of the LDAP server
1. press menu/enter to access the corporate directory and scroll the
menu up to MAIN TEL. BOOK
2. press enter to confirm
3. enter the first characters to search and press enter to confirm (To
move the cursor to the right side press UP arrow.)
4. scroll the names of the list and press enter when found
5. if more than one number, scroll the list, select one of them and
make the phone call by pressing menu/enter
Note: The contacts of the centralized directory imported from LDAP
server so they can be displayed only if the server LDAP is correctly
configured otherwise, please contact the system administrator
Make a quick dial Program a function key with a contact of the local directory (even if
already programmed with another function) from FUNCTION KEYS->
FAST DIAL menu. By pressing the button for about 1.5 sec., you can
call the phone number associated.
Note: a number will be recalled by pressing the button for about 1.5
seconds. The name associated to the number, first is displayed on
the screen, so the user can decide to stop the call or continue by
pressing it to make the call.
