DIR: phone directory set up
In this menu it is possible to set 20 abbreviated numbers in your telephone (a pin
code is required if it is personalized).
Select the position within the directory of the abbreviated number to be defined
(i.e. AD01), by pressing the “enter” key either an empty row will be displayed
(abbreviated number never programmed) or a previously programmed
abbreviated number will be displayed; the abbreviated number can be modified,
deleted or replaceed, by using the functions CANC, BACKSP, PAUSE, and
stored by using the “SAVE” function; after confirming the number, another menu
will be displayed enabling the selection of a function key (KY01 - KY16) to be
assigned with the abbreviated number.
Select the key and press the “enter” key to confirm.

Upon selecting the GENER. item, the following sub-menu will be displayed:

* These functions can be also pre-programmed within the SAE exchange and
hence can be changed only if they are enabled for modification.
- the HD SET item, allows use of either the headset or the microphone to be
selected. In the case you choose the headset, the “CLEAR FORWARD”
function must be used to simulate the off/on hook condition;
- the OHRING item, provides a choice between “off hook single ring” or “off
hook normal ring” for the arrival of another call during conversation;
- the AUT.HF item, provides a choice between “hands free on” or “hands free
off” when a key is pressed;
- the RING K item, provides a choice between “ring on” and “ring off” for a key;
- the PIN item, allows definition of your personal pin code; if the pin is not
programmed a blank row will be displayed, otherwise you must enter the
previously programmed pin code number; the pin code can be modified, deleted
and replaced through use af the CANC, BACKSP functions and can be after
stored through use of the SAVE function.
