The RESTART button is used to restart the counting process after the machine stops during batch
counting or after an error.
The number buttons are used for selecting the batch stop setting. The operator can select a
quantity of banknotes that the counter will stop at by pressing the desired batch number with the
numeric buttons. Any batch stop setting between 1 and 999 banknotes can be selected. The
batch stop setting will be displayed in the Batch Setting Display window. The selected batch
number can be canceled by pressing the button which will remove the batch setting and
deactivate the batch stop mode.
The quantity of banknotes counted which appears in the Count Display window will be reset to
zero after pressing the CLEAR button. The counting process is then reset to begin again at zero.
The ADD button turns the Add feature and indicator light on and off. When the Add feature is
on, as the operator adds additional banknotes to the hopper to be counted, the counter will
continue to count and add the additional notes to the previous total. When this feature is off, the
counter will be reset to zero each time the operator begins to count a new stack of banknotes.
The LEVEL button is not used.
The SIZE button is not used.
The UV button turns the Ultraviolet Counterfeit Detection feature and indicator light on
and off and adjusts the sensitivity level. When the Ultraviolet Counterfeit Detection System is
activated, the counter will scrutinize the paper of each banknote during the counting process and
test for suspect counterfeit notes. If a suspect counterfeit banknote is detected, the counter will
stop and alert the operator. There are five detection sensitivity levels selectable by the operator
numbered 1-5, with 1 representing the lowest sensitivity level. The factory setting is 3. If you
are experiencing too many false suspects, the UV detection feature should be desensitized
(reduced) or deactivated.
(This feature applies to models S-1115 and S-1125 only)
The MG button turns the Magnetic Counterfeit Detection feature and indicator light on and off
and adjusts the sensitivity level. When the Magnetic Counterfeit Detection System is activated,
the counter will scrutinize the ink of each banknote during the counting process and test for
suspect counterfeit notes. If a suspect counterfeit banknote is detected, the counter will stop and
alert the operator. There are five detection sensitivity levels selectable by the operator numbered
1-5, with 1 representing the lowest sensitivity level. The factory setting is 2. If you are
experiencing too many false suspects, the MG detection feature should be desensitized (reduced)
or deactivated.
(This feature applies to model S-1125 only)
