If sibilance or “ popping” occurs, posit ion t he microphone
not directly in front of t he mouth but slight ly to the side.
In order to prevent feedback, position monitor loud-
speakers so t hat t hey are located in the angle area of the
highest cancellation of the microphone.
In order t o prevent int erference due t o crosst alk bet ween
adjacent sound sources, t ry to posit ion t he micr ophone so
that the interfering sound source is located in the angle
area of t he highest cancellat ion of t he microphone
(approx. 180°; see polar diagram).
