REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by water regular-
ly according to the water quality in your area and the frequency use the appliance, as follows:
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (the ratio of water and descaler is 4:1), refer to
the use instructions of the descaler used for further information. Use “household descaler” or citric acid as an
alternative (pour three parts of citric acid in one hundred parts of water).
2. Turn on the on button ❽, the dispensing buttons will turn on in red. When the machine is ready, the dispens-
ing buttons becomes blue.
3. Place a container on the cup holder grid ❻.
4. Check the closing of the handle ❶.
5. Manual version: Press the coffee button ⓫ and allow the water to ow for 1 minute. Then stop owing by
pressing the coffee button ⓫ again.
Automatic version: Press the long coffee button ❸ and about 50 ml water will ow out.
6. Wait for 20 minutes with the machine turned on.
7. Manual version: Press the coffee button ⓫ until there is no more water in the tank ❾.
Automatic version: Press the long coffee button ❸ to totally empty the tank ❾.
8. Rinse the tank well and ll with clean water. Press the coffee button (❸ or ⓫) until all of water is used up.
