Why does the upper thread keep breaking on my Shark 801B Sewing Machine?

If the upper thread of your Shark Sewing Machine is breaking, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the machine is correctly threaded and that the thread tension isn't too tight; if it is, reduce the tension. Also, check that the thread isn't too thick for the needle—if it is, select a larger needle. Verify that the needle is correctly inserted (flat side) and that the thread isn't wound around the spool holder pin; if it is, remove the spool and rewind the thread. Finally, inspect the needle for damage and replace it if necessary.
