button and hold it down while folding
the handvac forward, until the
unit locks in storage mode.
To vacuum, press the MultiFLEX Lock
Release button while lifting up the
handvac, until the wand locks in place.

The Shark ION F80 Cord-Free MultiFLEX is a refurbished vacuum cleaner designed for versatile cleaning with a focus on convenience and powerful suction. It features a MultiFLEX wand that allows for extended reach and compact storage, making it adaptable to various cleaning needs and spaces.

Function Description:

The Shark ION F80 is a cordless vacuum cleaner that provides powerful suction for both everyday cleaning and tackling heavy messes. Its primary function is to effectively remove dirt, dust, and debris from various surfaces, including carpets and bare floors. The vacuum is powered by an ION Power Pack, offering cordless operation for unrestricted movement during cleaning.

Usage Features:

MultiFLEX Wand:

The MultiFLEX wand is a key feature that enhances the vacuum's versatility.

  • Reach: To extend your reach under furniture or into tight spaces, you can press the MultiFLEX Lock Release button to lower the angle of the wand. This allows the handvac to articulate, making it easier to clean hard-to-reach areas without excessive bending.
  • Storage: For compact storage, press and hold the MultiFLEX Lock Release button while folding the handvac forward until the unit locks into storage mode. This reduces the vacuum's footprint, making it easy to store in smaller spaces.
  • Operation: To transition from storage mode to vacuuming, press the MultiFLEX Lock Release button while lifting the handvac until the wand locks into its upright position.

SMART RESPONSE™ Technology:

This technology allows for intelligent adjustment of suction power based on the cleaning task.

  • Surface Settings: The vacuum offers two main surface settings:
    • CARPET: Designed for cleaning carpets, providing optimal suction for embedded dirt.
    • FLOOR: Ideal for bare floors and small area rugs, offering appropriate suction without scattering debris. To switch between these settings, simply press the Surface Settings button.
  • Suction Settings: The vacuum provides two suction modes:
    • ION POWER: This is the standard setting for everyday cleaning, providing consistent suction for general dirt and dust.
    • ION BOOST: For tougher messes, high-traffic areas, or deep cleaning, press the ION BOOST button. This provides a timed 1-minute boost of increased suction. You can also press and hold the ION BOOST button for manual control, extending the boost duration as needed. For deep cleaning of carpets (per ASTM F 608), it is recommended to select both the CARPET surface setting and ION BOOST.

ION Power Pack:

The vacuum is powered by one or two removable ION Power Packs, offering cordless convenience.

  • Insertion: To insert an ION Power Pack, slide it into the slot located at the back of the handvac until it clicks into place.
  • Removal: To remove the ION Power Pack, pinch the release tab and slide the pack out of the handvac.
  • Battery Indicator Lights: The ION Power Pack features indicator lights that show the current charge level: Full Charge, Mid Charge, Low Charge, Nearly Empty, and No Charge.
  • Charging: The ION Power Pack can be charged in multiple ways:
    • In the Vacuum: The pack can be charged while it is inserted into the handvac.
    • Out of the Vacuum: The pack can be removed and charged independently.
    • In Available Charging Dock: An optional charging dock allows for convenient charging of the ION Power Pack outside the vacuum. A full charge typically takes approximately 3.5 hours. It's important to fully charge the pack before first use and then completely discharge it to condition the pack for optimal performance.

Maintenance Features:

Emptying the Dust Cup:

Regular emptying of the dust cup is essential for maintaining optimal suction and hygiene.

  1. Remove Handvac: First, detach the handvac from the wand by pressing the Wand Release button and pulling the handvac upwards.
  2. Position and Open: Position the dust cup over a trash bin. Then, open the bottom of the dust cup by pressing the Dust Cup Release button located on the side of the dust cup. This allows the collected debris to fall directly into the bin.
