If your Shark Vacuum Cleaner overheats and shuts down, it might be due to blockages. To resolve this, unplug the vacuum first. Then, disassemble and reassemble all parts, removing the Dust Cup Assembly and emptying the Dust Cup if needed. Disconnect the Super Stretch Hose and check the Air Duct behind the Dust Cup for clogs. Lay the vacuum flat to expose the Brush Roll and check for clogs behind it. Clear any obstructions and use scissors to carefully remove any trapped debris from the Brush Roll. Also, remove the Nozzle Hose and check for clogs. Push the Hose Connector back onto the Floor Power Nozzle. Remove the hose from both the unit and Cleaning Wand ends, inspecting for clogs.
