Do you have a question about the Shark S1000ANZ and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Shark S1000ANZ Steam Mop is a household cleaning appliance designed for sanitizing and cleaning hard floor surfaces using steam. It operates with a voltage of 220-240V~, 50-60Hz, and has a power consumption of 1050W. The water tank has a capacity of 375ml.

Function Description:

The Shark Steam Mop is primarily used for cleaning and sanitizing sealed hard floors. It generates hot steam to effectively break down dirt, grime, and stuck-on stains without the need for harsh chemicals. The mop is designed for ease of use, with a simple assembly process and intuitive operation. It features a pumping action on the handle that allows users to customize the amount of steam released, providing control over the cleaning intensity. The unit is ready to sanitize after three minutes of mopping on an appropriate sealed hard-floor surface, requiring at least 15 passes over the area to be sanitized.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: S1000ANZ
  • Voltage: 220-240V~, 50-60Hz
  • Watts: 1050W
  • Water Capacity: 375ml
  • Components: Steam Mop Handle, Upper Cord Wrap, Pole, Lower Cord Wrap, Removable Water Tank, Water Tank Cap, Steam Mop Body, Mop Head, and Dirt Grip™ Pad.

Usage Features:

Before use, the Steam Mop requires assembly, which involves connecting the handle, pole, and mop body until they click into place. The Dirt Grip™ cleaning pad is then attached to the mop head using quick fastener strips. To operate, the removable water tank is filled with distilled water (recommended, especially in hard-water areas) or tap water, and then reattached to the mop body. It's crucial not to add cleaning solutions, vinegar, scented perfumes, oils, or any other chemicals to the water, as this can damage the unit or make it unsafe. Once plugged into an electrical socket, the power light illuminates, and the mop heats up, typically taking about 30 seconds for the steam to be ready. Steam is released by pumping the handle in a downward motion. The mop should be used with a forward and backward motion for effective cleaning. Important safety precautions include never leaving the Steam Mop unattended when plugged in, always unplugging it before servicing or removing/changing pads, and avoiding direct steam toward people, pets, or plants. The filling aperture should not be opened during use. The mop should only be used on flat, horizontal surfaces and is not suitable for unsealed wood, unglazed ceramic floors, or delicate, steam-sensitive materials like leather or wax-polished furniture.

Maintenance Features:

  • Dirt Grip™ Pads: These reusable microfibre pads are machine-washable. They should be washed separately with warm water using liquid detergent. It is critical to NEVER USE BLEACH, POWDERED DETERGENT, or FABRIC SOFTENERS, as these can damage the pads, reduce their cleaning performance, and absorbency. Pads should be line-dried or tumble-dried on a low setting to extend their life. Loose fibres should be trimmed with scissors, not pulled. For optimal cleaning results, pads should be replaced every 3 to 4 months with normal use.
  • After Use: After cleaning, the cord should be unplugged and wrapped around the cord hooks. The Steam Mop can be stored in an upright standing position by raising the handle until it is perpendicular to the ground.
  • Cooling Down: Allow 2 to 3 minutes for the Dirt Grip™ pad to cool before touching it. The pad should be removed from the mop head by stepping on the tab and lifting the mop head or by carefully pulling the pad off to prevent damage to floors.
  • Storage: The unit should be stored indoors in a cool, dry place. Never store or leave the Steam Mop in one spot with a damp or wet Dirt Grip™ pad attached, as this may damage surfaces.
  • Cleaning the Unit: Unplug the Steam Mop before cleaning its exterior. Use a dry or damp cloth. Do not pour water on the Steam Mop or use alcohol, benzene, or paint thinner for cleaning.

The product comes with a one-year limited warranty, covering defects due to faulty material or workmanship. This warranty is subject to conditions such as proper use, no misuse or unauthorized repairs, and fair wear and tear. It does not cover components subject to natural wear and tear or unauthorized maintenance. Product registration is encouraged within ten days of purchase to facilitate product safety notifications.
