The core function of the Shark WANDVAC® System PET is to provide powerful cordless suction for both floor and above-floor cleaning tasks. It operates as a 3-in-1 system, transforming from an upright vacuum for general floor cleaning to a handheld vacuum for targeted messes, and an above-floor wand for reaching high or tight spaces. The integrated PowerFins™ floor nozzle is engineered to pick up debris and pet hair effectively from both hard floors and carpets. The system is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, offering the convenience of cordless operation.

In upright mode, the hand vacuum is connected to the wand and floor nozzle, forming a traditional stick vacuum. The brushroll, located within the PowerFins™ floor nozzle, activates when the hand vacuum is powered on and the handle is tilted back, making it ready for floor cleaning. This mode is ideal for vacuuming large areas of hard floors and carpets, efficiently collecting dust, dirt, and pet hair. To engage the brushroll, simply power on the unit and tilt the handle.
For quick clean-ups of smaller messes, upholstery, or car interiors, the hand vacuum can be easily detached from the wand. To do this, slide the release tabs on both sides of the handle and lift the hand vacuum off the wand. Accessories like the Duster Crevice Tool or Pet Multi-Tool (WS642) can then be attached by sliding them into the nozzle of the hand vacuum. This mode provides focused suction for precise cleaning tasks. Removing an accessory is as simple as sliding the release tabs on the handle. Reattaching the hand vacuum to the wand involves sliding its nozzle over the wand until it clicks securely into place.
When you need to reach high shelves, ceiling corners, or under furniture, the wand can be used with the floor nozzle detached. To detach the floor nozzle, step on the nozzle while pressing the release button at the bottom of the wand, then lift the wand away. This allows for extended reach without the bulk of the floor nozzle, making it easier to clean elevated or hard-to-access areas. Reattaching the wand to the nozzle is done by sliding the wand over the nozzle neck until it clicks into place.
The vacuum is powered on and off by pressing the On/Off button located on the handle. The Li-ion battery provides cordless operation, and its charge status is indicated by LED lights. A full charge typically takes approximately 3.5 hours. The system offers two convenient charging options:
