Technical Speci cation

Sky Remote Code

If you wish to use your Sky remote to operate the TV’s basic

functions, you will need a Sky remote control (Revision 9 or later) and

you will need to program it with the code 2134. If you wish to use

your Sky Q remote to operate the TV’s basic functions, you will need

to program it with the code 4170.

Freeview Play

STANDBY - Switch on the TV when in standby or vice versa.

FREEVIEW PLAY - Access the Freeview Play app.

NUMBER BUTTONS - 0–9 to select a TV channel directly.

MUTE - Mute the sound or vice versa.

TV GUIDE - Opens the 7 day TV guide (digital TV mode).

VOL (+/-) - To increase/decrease the sound level.

PICTURE - Scrolls through picture mode options.

SOUND- Scrolls through sound mode options.

SOURCE - To display the input/source menu.

CH (+/-) - To increase or decrease the channel being watched.

MENU - To display OSD menu.

EXIT - To exit all menus.

( / / / / OK) - Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus and adjust

the system settings to your preference.

BACK - To go back a previous step.

FAV - To display favourites menu.

INFO - Press once for now/next channel information.

- Press twice for information about the current programme.

TEXT - To enter/exit Text.

SUBTITLE - To switch the dialogue at the bottom of the screen (on/off).

TV - To switch to Digital Channels.

YOUTUBE - Access the Youtube App.

NETFLIX - Access the Netﬂ ix App.

APPS - Access the APPS menu.

RECORD - Access the USB record function.

REC LIST - Opens the list of previously recorded items.

GOTO - To go to a speciﬁ c chapter.

A-B - Press once to set point, press a second time to return to point.

ANGLE - Select different angle of DVD.

REPEAT - To repeat playback.

Freeview Play brings together live TV viewing with ‘‘catch up’’

TV services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV player, More4 and Demand

5. The Freeview Play Explore app features a carousel of genres

to select from when searching for programmes, such as sport,

comedy, dramas and soaps, etc. Content is made up from

recommendations of the major broadcasters and offers an

alternative means of searching.

Note that to use the full functionality of Freeview Play your set

must be connected to the internet.

To receive Freeview channels, in particular Freeview HD

channels, you will need a Digital TV aerial and be in a

good Freeview coverage area.

You can check coverage for your postcode

at www.freeview.co.uk.

Please note that any Freeview HD channels found during

tuning will be placed in channel positions above 100. For

example, 101 (BBC1 HD) 102 (BBC2 HD) etc.

Function Description

The Sharp television is a modern display unit designed for home entertainment, offering a range of features for viewing broadcast television, streaming content, and connecting external devices. It supports high-definition video and audio, providing an immersive viewing experience. The TV is equipped with a built-in Freeview Play system, allowing access to live TV, catch-up services from major broadcasters like BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, More4, and Demand 5, and an Explore app for content discovery across various genres. For enhanced audio, some models feature integrated Harman Kardon speaker systems. The television also supports smart functionalities, enabling connection to the internet for streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, and interaction with other smart home devices.

Usage Features

Initial Setup:

The setup process begins with physically assembling the stand. The TV panel should be placed face down on a flat, clean surface to prevent damage. The stand feet, which are designed to be longer at the front and shorter at the back, are then secured to the underside of the TV using four screws. Once the stand is attached, the TV can be connected to a power socket. For receiving Freeview/Saorview channels, an outdoor digital TV aerial needs to be connected to the "RF IN" socket on the back of the TV. The TV can be powered on by pressing the TV control stick located on the TV set or by inserting batteries into the remote control and pressing the standby button.

First Time Installation Wizard:

Upon first power-on, the TV enters a First Time Installation mode, guiding you through essential settings.

Introduction: A welcome screen to the world of 4K, Ultra HD.
Language Selection: Choose your preferred on-screen display language for menus and information. This can be changed later via Settings > System Menu > Language.
Country Selection: Select the correct country to ensure the TV installs functions applicable to your region.
Environment of Use: Choose between "Home Mode" (default, power-saving, reduces energy consumption by up to 25%) or other modes. Home Mode automatically switches off the TV after 4 hours of inactivity, a setting adjustable in Settings > Time > Auto Standby.
Internet Connection: Connect the TV to your broadband router or wireless network to access smart functions. An Ethernet cable connection is recommended for stability.
Netflix Setup: If you have a Netflix account, you can set it up and validate it during this step.
Tune in Channels: Choose to install terrestrial channels (Freeview) immediately or later. Ensure your outdoor aerial is connected. If signals from multiple transmitters are detected, you will be prompted to select primary and secondary regions.
Default Source: Select your most used input source (e.g., Digital TV, HDMI). If Digital TV is chosen, the TV will tune in automatically. If another source is selected, tuning can be initiated later via Settings > Channels.

Wall Mounting:

Sky Remote Control Compatibility:

To operate basic TV functions with a Sky remote, program it with code 2134 (for Revision 9 or later) or 4170 (for Sky Q remote).

Freeview Play:

This feature integrates live TV with catch-up services. The Freeview Play Explore app helps discover content by genre. An internet connection is required for full Freeview Play functionality.

Microsoft PlayReady™:
