HFC-134a CYCLE REPAIR PROCEDURE
Refrigerator cycle repair
As the service tools for the coolant gas CFC-12 (R-12) cannot be
used for HFC-134a, the specific tools must be used.
“FOR HFC-134a” must be indicated.
The connections of service tools are different.
CFC-12: 1/4 in
HFC-134a: 3/8 in
(HFC-134a for dehumidifier: 10 mm screw is used)
Caution
When servicing, use only the couplers, vacuum pumps,
pressure gauge hoses, valves, and charging cylinders specified
for HFC-134a.
Clean the new parts with ethyl alcohol, or use oilproof
parts.
When replacing the compressor, use the new Dryer filter for
HFC-134a.

Evacuation must be performed within 15 minutes after unpacking.
Gas leak
If gas leak occurred, be sure to replace the compressor and Dryer filter as a pair.
If gas leak occurred, replace the leaking part irrespective of whether it is at low pressure side or high pressure
side.
Use the service parts of Dryer filter set for HFC-134a (CDRY-A001FBK0) (with two evacuation pipes).

•Vacuum pump: indicates a set of necessary tools. Here, use the tools of R-12 type.
(If any R-12 type is not available, be sure to attach the check valve when using the tools of 
HFC-134a type which is applicable for refrigerator.) 
•Nitrogen blow kit: Not required for dehumidifier
•Charging cylinder: Use the tools of HFC-134 type which is applicable for refrigerator. 
•Leak detector: Use the tools of HFC-134 type which is applicable for refrigerator.
