SAFETY PRECAUTIONS 
WARNINGS FOR USE
•  Do not pull or modify the power supply cord.  
Pulling and other misuse of the power supply 
cord may cause damage to the unit and cause 
electric shock.
•  Do not expose your body directly to the 
conditioned air for an extended period of time.  
This could be detrimental to your health.
•  When using the air conditioner with infants, 
children, elderly, bedridden and/or disabled 
people, make sure the room temperature is 
suitable for those in the room.
•  Do not insert objects into the unit. This could 
cause injury due to the fan rotation.
•  The air conditioner must be grounded. Do not 
connect the ground wire to a gas pipe, water 
pipe, lightning rod, or telephone ground wire. 
Improper grounding may cause electric shock.
•  In case of an abnormal condition (e.g. burning 
smell), stop the operation immediately and 
turn the circuit breaker OFF and contact your 
installer.
•  The appliance shall be installed in accordance 
with the local wiring regulations. Improper 
cable connection can cause the power supply 
cord, plug and the electrical outlet to overheat 
and cause fi re.
•  Do not splash or pour water directly on the 
unit. Water can cause electric shock or 
equipment failure.
•  Do not attempt to install/remove/repair the unit 
by yourself. Incorrect work will cause electric 
shock, water leak, fi re etc. Consult your dealer 
or other qualifi ed service personnel for the 
installation/removal/repair of the unit.
CAUTION
• Make sure to open windows or doors 
periodically to ventilate the room, especially 
when using gas appliance. Insufficient 
ventilation could cause oxygen shortage.
•  Do not operate the remote control buttons or 
indoor unit buttons/switches with wet hands. 
This may cause electric shock.
•  For safety, turn the circuit breaker off when not 
using the unit for an extended period of time.
• Check the outdoor unit mounting rack 
periodically for wear and to make sure it is 
fi rmly in place.
•  Do not place objects on the outdoor unit nor 
step on it. This could cause injury or damage 
to the air conditioner.
•  This unit is designed for residential and 
light commercial use only. Do not use for 
other applications such as in a kennel or 
greenhouse to raise animals or grow plants.
•  Do not place vases or other objects with water 
on the unit. Water could penetrate into the unit 
and cause electric shock after time.
•  Do not block air inlets or outlets of the unit. 
This may cause insuffi cient performance or 
issues to the unit.
•  Make sure to stop operation and turn the 
circuit breaker off before performing any 
maintenance or cleaning. Make sure the fan 
has stopped before performing any work on 
the unit.
•  This appliance is not intended for use by 
persons (including children) with reduced 
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, 
or lack of experience and knowledge, 
unless they have been given supervision or 
instruction concerning use of the appliance by 
a person responsible for their safety.
  Children should be supervised to ensure that 
they do not play with the appliance.
•  Make sure to connect the air conditioner 
to power supply of the rated voltage and 
frequency. Use of a power supply with 
improper voltage and frequency can result in 
equipment damage and possible fi re.
•  Do not install the unit in a place where infl 
ammable gas may leak. It may cause fi re. 
Install the unit in a place with minimal dust, 
fumes and moisture in the air.
•  Arrange the drain hose to ensure smooth 
drainage. Insufficient drainage may cause 
water leakage in the room, furniture, etc.
•  Install a Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) circuit 
breaker depending on the installation location 
of the unit (such as highly humid areas). If 
GFI breaker is not installed, it may cause 
electric shock.
Radio or TV Interference
If this room air conditioner should cause 
interference to radio or television reception, try 
to correct the interference by one or more of 
the following measures:
•  Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
•  Increase the separation between the room air 
conditioner and radio/TV receiver.
•  Connect the room air conditioner into an 
outlet on a circuit different from that to which 
the radio/TV receiver is connected.
•  Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/
TV technician for help.
This product fulfills the requirement of the 
International standard CISPR 11.  
In conformity with this standard, this product is 
classifi ed as group 2 class B equipment.
Group 2 means that the equipment intentionally 
generates radio-frequency in the form of 
electromagnetic radiation for electro-discharge 
machining equipment.
Class B equipment means that the equipment is 
suitable to be used in domestic establishments.
