The Sharp GF-9000H/GF-9000E is a portable stereo radio cassette recorder, commonly known as a boombox, designed for both AC and DC operation. It integrates a radio tuner, a cassette tape recorder, and a stereo amplifier with built-in speakers, offering a versatile audio experience.

Function Description:

The device features a comprehensive set of functions for audio playback and recording. The radio section covers multiple frequency bands: LW (150 kHz – 285 kHz), MW (520 kHz – 1,620 kHz), SW (5.95 MHz – 18.0 MHz), and FM (87.6 MHz – 108 MHz). The cassette tape recorder supports compact cassette tapes and features a digital tape counter with a reset button. It offers various playback and recording modes, including normal and metal tape compatibility, selectable via a tape selector switch. Recording functions include a record muting button, record mode selector switch (manual/auto), and record level controls with VU meters for both left and right channels. The VU meters also double as a battery meter when operating on DC power.
