Wash fresh vegetables and place them in a casserole dish. Add no water to freshly washed
quick vegetables. For tender vegetables, cover with a lid. For tender-crisp vegetables,
cover with plastic wrap.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 6 pad for Quick Fresh Vegetables then touch
the START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, stir, if possible, recover and let stand for 2 to 5 minutes.
7 Longer Fresh Vegetables

Wash fresh vegetables and place them in casserole dish. Add 1–4 tablespoons water. For
tender vegetables, cover with a lid. For tender-crisp vegetables, cover with plastic wrap.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 7 pad for Longer Fresh Vegetables then touch
the START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, stir, if possible, recover and let stand for 2 to 5 minutes.
8 Steamer Bag 6 –17 oz Place the bag with the right side facing up.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 8 pad for Steamer Bag then touch the
START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, remove and carefully open to allow steam to escape.
9 Frozen Vegetables 0.25–1.25 lb Place frozen vegetables in a casserole dish. Add no water to frozen vegetables. Cover
with a lid or plastic wrap.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 9 pad for Frozen Vegetables then touch the
START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, stir, if possible, recover and let stand for 3 minutes.
10 Ground Meat 0.25–2.0 lb To cook ground meat patties, place patties on a microwave safe dish and cover with
wax paper. To cook bulk ground meat to be added to dishes, place ground meat in a
casserole dish and cover with wax paper or plastic wrap.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 1+0 pads for Ground Meat then touch the
START/+30 SEC pad.
• When the microwave oven pauses, turn over patties or stir bulk meat to break up
large pieces, recover then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, leave meat covered and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
11 Frozen Entrées 6 –17 oz Remove the entrée from outer packaging and cover according to package directions.
• Touch the Cook pad, touch the number 1+1 pads for Frozen Entrée the touch the
START/+30 SEC pad.
After cooking, leave covered and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
