C. Horizontal paper transport section
(1) Relay pass unit
1) Pull out the multi manual paper feed tray unit.
2) Remove the paper feed tray units 1 and 2.
(See “A-(1) Paper feed tray units 1 and 2” in the “PAPER
TRANSPORT SECTION”)
3) Remove the toner cartridge, the OPC drum, and the toner hop-
per, and remove the front door.
4) Remove the paper feed reverse guide.
Disconnect the connector, and remove the relay pass unit.
a. Paper guide lock solenoid
1) Remove the relay pass unit. (See “(1) Relay pass unit”)
2) Remove the connector, and remove the paper guide lock sole-
noid unit.
3) Remove the paper guide lock solenoid.
