The above figure provides the memory map for the ep/M-
86 used on the MZ-5600.
The BIOS consists of the following three blocks:
i) Interface block: Interfaces the BOOS with loes.
ii) loes code block: Control program for the input
output device handler called the
Input Output Control System
(lOeS).
iii) loes data block: Parameter and work area used
~ for the loes.
The MZ-5600 system can be upgraded by using an IN-
STALL
command which integrates the optional loes
module into the BIOS. The above figure on the right
provides the memory map for the upgraded system:
