BASIC
Error Message List
The BASIC interpreter displays an error message in one
of
the
following formats when an error occurs
during operation.

Error messages in format 1 are issued when an error
is detected during execution
of
a direct command
or
entry
of
a program. Error messages in format 2 are issued when an error is detected during program
execution.

the
usable memory space.
The

of

of

by
the

The number
of

of

nesting exceeded
the limit.
NEXT was used
without
a corresponding FOR.
RETURN was used without a corresponding GOSUB.
An undefined function was called.
An unused line number was referenced.
CONT command cannot be executed.
An
attempt
was made
to
write
data
to
the
BASIC
control area.
Direct mode commands and statements are mixed
together.
RESUME cannot be executed.
An
attempt
was made
to
execute RESUME when no
error had occurred.
READ was used without a corresponding DATA
statement.
An OPEN statement was issued
to
a file which was
already open.
Out
of
file during file read.
Printer
is
not
connected.
Calor
plotter-printer mode error.
Check sum error (during tape read).
