Function Description

The SHARP Flatbed Microwave Oven is designed for heating food and beverages using microwave energy. It features a flatbed design, eliminating the need for a turntable, and incorporates Smart Inverter technology for precise power control. The oven offers both manual and automatic cooking options, including "Smart Menus" and "Smart Convenience Menus" for common food items, as well as defrosting functions. It also includes a timer and a child lock feature for safety.

Usage Features

  • Touch Control Panel: The oven is operated via a touch control panel with an LED display. An audible signal confirms each correct entry.
  • Clock Setting: A 12-hour clock can be set.
  • Manual Operations:
    • Microwave Time Cooking: Allows programming cooking time (up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds) and selecting one of eleven power levels. If no power level is selected, 1200W is automatically used.
    • Sequence Cooking: Can be programmed for up to two automatic cooking sequences, switching between different power settings.
    • START/+30SEC. Pad: Starts the oven for 30 seconds at HIGH power or adds 30-second increments during cooking.
  • Automatic Operations (Smart Menus):
    • Smart Menus: Six categories (Defrost Meat, Defrost Poultry/Fish, Rice/Quinoa, Pasta, Potato, Vegetables) automatically compute power level and cooking time based on food type and weight. Instructions for turning over food or stirring are provided during the cooking process.
    • Smart Convenience Menu: Preprogrammed popular menus for Reheat Plate, Reheat Beverage, Melt/Soften (Chocolate, Butter, Cream Cheese), Scrambled Eggs, and Mug Cake.
  • Set Timer: A general-purpose timer can be set for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds.
  • Favourite Function: Stores up to three frequently used microwave power levels and cook times for convenient cooking/reheating.
  • Child Lock: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental operation when the oven is not in use.

Maintenance Features

  • Regular Cleaning: The oven should be cleaned regularly to prevent food deposits from deteriorating surfaces and affecting appliance life.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe with mild soap and warm water; avoid harsh abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings free of dust.
  • Door Cleaning: Wipe the door, window, seals, and adjacent parts with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Touch Control Panel Cleaning: Wipe with a slightly dampened cloth with water only; avoid scrubbing or chemical cleaners.
  • Interior Walls Cleaning: Wipe with a soft cloth and warm water. The waveguide cover should be wiped after each use to remove splashes; it should not be removed. Avoid commercial oven cleaners, abrasives, or harsh cleaners.
  • Flatbed Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth to remove spills or splatters; avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Steam Cleaning: The appliance must not be cleaned with a steam cleaner.
  • Service Call Check: A self-check procedure is provided to troubleshoot basic issues before contacting service, including checking display, oven lamp, cooling fan, and water heating.
