CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY

Insert the AC adaptor into a 120V AC ~ 60Hz mains outlet and the other end of the cord into the DC 5V jack on the

back of the unit.

INSTALLING THE CLOCK & ALARM BACK UP BATTERIES

The clock time and alarm time (if set) can be maintained during a power failure by 2 x AAA/ LR03 batteries (not

supplied). However, once the power is restarted, check the time to make sure it is accurate and reset if necessary.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES

1. Open the battery compartment at the back of the unit by pressing on the catch and removing the cover.

2. Insert 2 x AAA/ LR03 batteries (preferably alkaline batteries) into the battery compartment, following the polarity

as shown on the diagram inside the compartment.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

SETTING THE CLOCK

- Press and hold the TIME button down to activate time setting.

- While holding down the TIME button, press the HOUR button to advance to the correct hour. The PM indicator will

light when the hour is advanced into the PM time.

- While holding down the TIME button, press the MIN button to advance to the correct minute.

- Release the TIME button when the correct time is shown on the display.

SETTING THE ALARM

- Press and hold the ALARM button down to activate alarm setting.

- While holding down the ALARM button, press the HOUR button to advance to the correct hour. The PM indicator

will light when the hour is advanced into the PM time.

- While holding down the ALARM button, press the MIN button to advance to the correct minute.

- Release the ALARM button when the correct alarm time is shown on the display.

USING THE ALARM FUNCTION

- Slide the ALARM ON/OFF button to ON to activate the alarm and the alarm indicator will be lit.

- Slide the ALARM ON/OFF button to OFF to deactivate the alarm and the alarm indicator no longer be visible.

SNOOZE FUNCTION

- Pressing the SNOOZE button after the alarm sounds will cause the alarm to stop and the alarm will sound again in

9 minutes. This will happen each time the SNOOZE button is pressed.

USING BLUETOOTH FUNCTION

- Press the POWER ON button to enter Bluetooth mode. The Pairing Indicator will flash blue quickly.

- Using the native controls on your Bluetooth device, select the “SPC658” in your Bluetooth settings to pair.

When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit.

Usage Features:

Connecting to Power: Insert the AC adaptor into a 120V AC ~ 60Hz mains outlet and the DC 5V jack on the back of the unit.
Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment, insert 2 x AAA/LR03 batteries according to polarity, and replace the cover. These batteries ensure time and alarm settings are preserved during power interruptions.
Setting the Clock:
- Press and hold the TIME button.
- While holding TIME, press HOUR to advance the hour (PM indicator lights for PM time).
- While holding TIME, press MIN to advance the minute.
- Release TIME when the correct time is displayed.
Setting the Alarm:
- Press and hold the ALARM button.
- While holding ALARM, press HOUR to advance the hour (PM indicator lights for PM time).
- While holding ALARM, press MIN to advance the minute.
- Release ALARM when the correct alarm time is displayed.
Using the Alarm Function:
- Slide the ALARM ON/OFF switch to ON to activate the alarm; the alarm indicator will light up.
- Slide the ALARM ON/OFF switch to OFF to deactivate the alarm; the alarm indicator will no longer be visible.
Snooze Function: Press the SNOOZE button after the alarm sounds to temporarily stop it. The alarm will sound again in 9 minutes. This can be repeated.
Using Bluetooth Function:
- Press the POWER ON button to enter Bluetooth mode. The Pairing Indicator will flash blue quickly.
- Keep the Bluetooth device within 3 feet of the unit for pairing.
- On your Bluetooth device, select "SPC658" in the Bluetooth settings to pair.
- Once paired, the Pairing Indicator will display a solid blue light, and a beep will sound. The unit remains paired unless manually unpaired or reset.
- Use native controls on your Bluetooth device to select and play tracks.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE button on the alarm clock to pause the track.
- Adjust volume using the VOL+/- buttons on the alarm clock.
Using AUX IN Function:
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from an MP3 player or other audio source to the AUX IN jack on the unit.
- Press the POWER ON button to enter AUX IN mode.
- Use the native controls on the connected audio source to play and control audio.

Maintenance Features:

Power Interruption: In case of a power failure, the battery backup will maintain time and alarm settings. After power is restored, it's advisable to check the time for accuracy and reset if necessary.
Cleaning: The manual does not specify cleaning instructions, but general electronic device care suggests using a soft, dry cloth.
Troubleshooting (FCC Warnings):
- If the unit causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, try reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment to an outlet on a different circuit than the receiver.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

One Year Limited Warranty: M.Z. Berger & Company warrants the product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the purchase date. Defects due to tampering, improper use, unauthorized modifications or repairs, water immersion, or abuse are not covered. For warranty claims, carefully wrap the clock and send it to MZ Berger Service Center, 29-76 Northern Boulevard, Long Island City, NY 11101. Include proof of purchase (original receipt or photocopy) and a check or money order for USD $6.00 to cover handling costs, along with your return address. MZ Berger will repair or replace the clock. The warranty excludes liability for incidental or consequential damages.
