There
are
three
kinds
of
APLD:
(A)
Index
Search
(B)
Interval
Search
(C)
Counter
Search
Select
the
best
one
according
to
your
tape’s
recorded
contents.
Perform
all
settings
using
the
remote
control.
NOTES:
e
The
clock
must
be
set
to
use
the
search
mode.
®
The
start
of
the
desired
selection
may
be
shifted
slightly.
¢
Counter
memory
does
not
function
during
index
search,
interval
search
and
counter
search.
e
If
after
the
SEARCH
button
is
pressed,
nothing
is
input
within
sixty
seconds,
search
is
automatically
cancelled.
Index
Signal
The
index
signal
is
automatically
recorded
on
the
tape
at
the
start
of
ordinary
recording,
Simple
Recording
Timer
and
timer
recording.
It
may
also
be
input
by
pressing
the
REC
button
during
recording.
Current
tape
position
Index
signals
(A)
Index
Search
This
feature
makes
use
of
index
signals
to
search
out
for
a
specified
tape
segment
and
begin
playback
automatically.
Example:
Begin
playback
of
the
sooed
programme
after
the
current
one.

the

SEARCH
button,
putting
the
VCR
into
index
search
mode.

number

Press
the
FF
button
and
index
search
starts.
(If
searching
for
a
programme
earlier
than
the
cur-
rent
one,
press
the
REW
button.)

When
the
desired
index
signal-
encoded
section
is
found,
play-
back
begins
automatically.
NOTES:
e
Index
search
may
not
function
asap
if
the
index
signals
are
too
close
together
(within
2
minutes
of
each
other).
¢
Index
search
can
be
cancelled
by
pressing
the
PLAY
or
STOP
button.
°
If
the
tape
reaches
its
end
or
is
rewound
completely
before
locating
the
desired
index
signal,
index
search
is
cancelled.
¢
Index
search
may
not
function
for
damaged
or
worn
tapes.
e
If
the
SEARCH
button
is
pressed
again
while
setting
up
index
search,
the
search
mode
is
cancelled.
