Retrieving
a
Listing
The
listings
of
each
directory
are
stored
in
alphabetical
order
by
name.
The
Organizer
looks
at
the
name
as
a
whole,
so,
for
example,
Davis,
Craig
will
be
stored
before
Davis,
Mike.
There
are
4
basic
methods
for
retrieving
a
listing
from
a
directory.
e
Sequential
search.
e
Direct
search.
e
Keyword
search.
e
By
index.
Sequential
search
To
step
down
or
up
the
listings
of
a
telephone
directory
one
by
one,
press
or
lea
Pe
If
you
go
past
the
last
listing
in
the
directory,
NOT
FOUND!
appears
and
the
Organizer
returns
to
the
initial
entry
screen
of
the
current
directory.
e
To
jump
to
the
top
of
the
directory
(the
initial
entry
screen),
press
Direct
search
To
jump
to
any
part
of
the
directory,
simply
press
a
letter
(or
group
of
letters)
followed
by
.
The
Organizer
will
display
the
listing
beginning
with
the
letter
(or
letters)
you
entered.
For
example,
to
see
the
first
listing
that
starts
with
the
letter
D,
press
[D],
and
then
[v
]
.
If
you
do
not
have
a
listing
that
begins
with
D,
the
next
nearest
listing
will
be
displayed.
Press
or
then
to
step
one
by
one.
You
can
be
more
specific
and
press
,
DAV,
and
then
if
you
are
searching
for
“Davis,
Craig’.
If
there
was
a
listing
“Davidson,
Robert”,
however,
the
Organizer
would
display
this
first.
You
could
then
press
until
“Davis,
Craig”
appeared.

Upper-
and
lowercase
letters,
and
other
letters
of
the
same
group
(e.g.
E
and
6)
are
treated
as
the
same.
