Why Sharper Image THREAD PASSPORT not heating up?

Your Sharper Image Steam Cleaner might not be heating up due to several reasons. First, ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check that the ON/OFF button is pressed to turn the unit on, and the Steam Status Light is illuminated. Also, verify that the household circuit breaker/ground fault interrupter hasn't tripped, or a fuse blown; reset the breaker/interrupter or replace the fuse if necessary. Another possibility is that the water tank is empty; refer to the FILLING WATER TANK procedure to refill it. Mineral build-up may also prevent heating; refer to the STORAGE & CARE section for details. If none of these resolves the issue, the unit may be damaged.
