What to do if Sharper Image Steam Cleaner unit fails to heat up?

First, ensure the steam cleaner is properly plugged into an electrical outlet and that the ON/OFF button is pressed to turn the unit on, so the Steam Status Light illuminates. Check if the household circuit breaker or ground fault interrupter has tripped, or if a fuse has blown; reset the breaker/interrupter or replace the fuse. If the water tank is empty, refer to the FILLING WATER TANK procedure. Mineral build-up can also cause this issue, so refer to the STORAGE & CARE section for details. If none of these steps work, immediately cease using the unit, unplug it, and contact Consumer Service for assistance.
