5. The CO
2
concentration in the incubation chamber must be stable in order to perform an accurate
calibration.
The incubator must run for at least 8 hours prior to conducting a calibration.
The CO
2
concentration is considered stabilized when the incubator has operated with the
door closed at your calibration CO
2
concentration for at least 1 hour with no fluctuations
greater than the specified stability of the unit (see page 56).

Calibration

Once the incubator CO
2
concentration has stabilized, compare the
reference device and the CO
2
display readings.
If the readings are the same, or the difference
between the two falls within the acceptable range of
your protocol, the display is accurately showing the
incubation chamber CO
2
concentration. The CO
2
Calibration procedure is now complete.

If the difference falls outside of your protocol range,
advance to Step 2.
