      If your Shindaiwa Chainsaw engine is hard to start or doesn't start, possible causes include a fuel strainer or fuel line obstruction (clean or replace, or see your dealer), carburetor issues (see your dealer), a fuel mixture that's too rich (open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, adjust the carburetor, or see your dealer), an electrical problem with the interlock switch (turn the switch to ON, or see your dealer), or an incorrect spark plug gap, carbon buildup, fuel fouling, or a defective plug (adjust the gap to 0.65 mm (0.026 in.), or clean or replace the plug).
