2.1 Intended use

The smart window handle is a window handle for
integration in smart home networks.
• The window handle must not be used:
– in windows that are intended as escape routes
– in fire-rated areas
–
in windows that are equipped with motorised
drives
–
in conjunction with smoke extraction systems
(SHEVS)
– in aggressive environments
2.2 Requirements for the target group
The following persons may only operate the product if
they have understood the dangers involved in handling
the product or if they are supervised during operation:
• children
•
persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental
capabilities
• persons with a lack of experience and knowledge
2.3 Safety notes
Chemical burns from swallowing batteries
If swallowed, batteries cause severe internal chemical
burns within 2 hours, which can be fatal.
• Keep batteries away from children.
• Do not swallow batteries.
•
If a battery is swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
•
Do not continue to use the product if the battery
compartment does not close securely.
Risk of explosion if batteries are handled incorrectly
Risk of explosion due to flammable liquids or gases
escaping.

• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.

Risk of falling when working at certain heights
When carrying out installation, cleaning and
maintenance work at certain heights, there is a risk of
falling and injuring yourself.

Where possible, do not install the product any
higher than 1.50 m from the ground.
•
If installing the product more than 1.50 m from the
ground, use a ladder or a step.
•
Follow the safety instructions when handling
ladders and steps.
Risk of injury from using unsuitable components
Components, accessories and spare parts which do not
comply with SIEGENIA requirements can impair the
safety of the product and lead to accidents.
•
Use original parts or components that comply with
the SIEGENIA requirements. If in doubt, contact
SIEGENIA for confirmation.
