Analog input module SM 331; AI 6 x TC Isolated (6ES7331‑7PE10‑0AB0)
4 A5E02398493-02, 11/2008
Wiring: Thermocouple with external compensation
With this type of compensation, the temperature of the terminals at the reference junction is established using a resistance
thermometer Pt 100 with the climatic temperature range of -145° C to +155° C (see terminals 35, 36, 39, and 40).

If a resistance thermometer Pt 100 is not available, the reference junction can be read by an RTD module and the
temperature readings passed to the AI 6 x TC module via Data Set 2. (See pages 15-18 for a detailed explanation of the
Data Set 2 format).
