4.7 Material characteristics
The following illustrations show how different materials attenuate and reflect a sig-
nal.
 Water (including rain drops and human beings) absorbs the radio energy and
thus degrades the signal.
 Remember that an open door may result in less absorption and/or reflection.
Keep doors shut while testing.
