12.5 Cleaning the ground cof-
fee compartment
Tip:You can clean the ground coffee
compartment in the dishwasher.
1. Pull out the ground coffee com-
partment by the open lid.

3. Dry the ground coffee compart-
ment and insert it into the appli-
ance.
12.6 Cleaning the milk sys-
tem
Clean the milk system regularly. Fol-
low the illustrated instructions at the
beginning of the manual.
WARNING
Risk of burns!
The milk system can become ex-
tremely hot.
▶ Never touch the milk system when
it is hot.
▶ Allow the hot milk system to cool
down before touching it.
ATTENTION!
The appliance may be damaged by
improper cleaning.
▶ Do not put the cover of the outlet
system in the dishwasher.

12.7 Cleaning the brewing
unit
In addition to automatic rinsing, also
remove and clean the brewing unit
regularly. Follow the illustrated in-
structions at the beginning of the
manual.
WARNING
Risk of burns!
Some parts of the appliance become
very hot.
▶ Never touch hot appliance parts.
▶ Allow hot appliance parts to cool
down before touching.
ATTENTION!
The appliance may be damaged by
improper cleaning.
▶ Do not use washing-up liquid.
▶ Do not use cleaning agents con-
taining vinegar or acids.
▶ Do not clean in the dishwasher.

12.8 Service programmes
After certain time intervals, your appli-
ance will recommend that you use
the service programmes. Use the ser-
vice programmes to clean your appli-
ance thoroughly.
ATTENTION!
Improper cleaning and descaling or a
delay in doing so may damage the
appliance.
▶ Immediately perform the descaling
process in accordance with the in-
structions.
▶ Only put cleaning tablets in the
ground coffee compartment.
▶ Do not put descaling tablets or
other products in the ground cof-
fee compartment.
