  There are several reasons why you might be unable to send messages. First, you may not have requested the CLIP service (Calling Line Identification Presentation); in this case, ask your service provider to enable it. Another possibility is that SMS transmission was interrupted. If so, try re-sending the SMS. Also, the network provider may not support this feature. Finally, check if the SMS centre number is correctly entered.

Finally, your SMS provider may have recorded your device as not having fixed line network SMS functionality. In such case you should have the device re-registered to receive SMS messages.
