EMS
(Enhanced Messaging Service)
In addition to (formatted) texts, you
can also use this service to send
• pictures (bitmaps) up to
32 x 32 pixels (black and white),
•tones,
• animations (sequence of
4 pictures) 8 x 8 and 16 x 16 pixels
(black and white).
The items referred to above can be
sent together in an SMS or
individually.
Pictures and sounds can also be sent
as ringtones and screensavers with
EMS.
This can result in messages that are
longer than a single SMS. If this
happens the individual SMS’s are
linked together into a single
message.
Highlighting mode
With some applications (e.g.
Addressbook) one or more entries in
a list can be highlighted, to carry out
a function jointly.
§Options§
Open menu.
Mark text Activate highlighting
mode.
If an unmarked entry is selected, this
can be highlighted:
§Mark text§ The current entry is
highlighted.
If a highlighted entry is selected, the
highlighting can be deleted:
§Unmark§ Unmark the current entry.
Highlighting functions in options
menu:
§Options§ Open menu.
Mark all
Highlight all entries.
Unmark all
Delete highlighting on all
marked entries.
