8.2 Soundchip
The D400 is used for Stereophonic Sound Generation. The internal CPU receives the
data from the EGOLD+ via the address- and data- bus. Via a 16 sound FM
synthesizer and DA converter the analogue output signal (AUDI1_SND, AUDI2_SND)
goes to the audio amplifier inside the Power Supply ASIC. The clock for the D400
(SND_13MHZ/
Miscellaneous U6) is made inside the EGOLD+, based of the 26MHZ
VCO.
