Installing the connecting pipe
The figure below shows the installation of the connecting pipe. For demonstration purposes, the PRO device with Extension
Unit is shown from below.
1. Slide the sealing plate across the long end of the connecting pipe. Make sure that the countersinks for the screws point
in the direction of the connecting pipe bend.
2. Place two lightly lubricated sealing rings (29.82 x 2.62 mm) from the Extension Unit accessory kit on the two ends of the
connecting pipe.
3. Guide all the cables required for connecting the operator controls through the opening of the basic adapter into the
connecting pipe.
4. Guide all the cables required for connecting the operator controls through the opening on the bottom to the housing of
the Extension Unit.
5. Guide the long end of the connecting pipe into the lateral opening of the basic adapter.
The cables can be damaged when you insert the connecting pipe. This may result in faults on the device and in the
plant.
Make sure not to jam the cables when installing the connecting pipe.
6. Insert the flange at the short end of the connecting pipe from above into the recess of the Extension Unit enclosure.
Check that the seal is properly seated.
