How to troubleshoot no power on Signal Amplifier?
    • G
      Gina WalkerAug 14, 2025
If your Signal Amplifier has no power, ensure the On/Off PA Vol. Knob is not in the OFF position. Also, check if the yellow wire is connected to switched +12VDC, inspect the connector, and verify that the power is not hooked up backwards. If you are using a positive ground vehicle, check if an external fuse or circuit breaker is in use. Finally, confirm that the negative leads are connected to a good ground.

      Brian FloydAug 17, 2025
If the siren sound from your Signal Amplifier is distorted, check if the speaker bell or tip is loose. Also, verify if the Aux. Input is used and wired properly, and ensure the input voltage is between 10-16 volts while the siren is on, as low or high vehicle voltage can cause distortion.

What to do if Signal LCS770 Amplifier siren tone is intermittent?
    • J
      John AndersonAug 20, 2025
If the siren tone on your Signal Amplifier is intermittent, it might be due to high or low voltage protection. The input must be greater than 10V with the siren turned on. Check if the vehicle voltage regulator is working properly. Also, ensure the connector is tight on the back of the unit, look for loose connections on the power lead, and make sure nothing is lying on the microphone. Verify that a circuit breaker with at least a 50A rating is used and check the speaker for water damage or pinched wires.

Why Signal LCS770 has no siren tone but PA works?
    • S
      Sharon OlsonAug 23, 2025
If your Signal Amplifier has no siren tone but the PA system works, it could be due to high or low voltage protection. The input voltage must be less than 16 volts, and the input must be greater than 10V with the siren turned on. Also, check if the microphone button releases properly, verify that the PK jumper option is properly configured, and test if the siren works when the Park Kill input is disconnected. Check for shorts or opens, ensure the PA Vol. is ON and turned up.
