Divan Assembly Preparation

Before You Start You'll Need

List of tools required for divan assembly: mallet, screwdrivers, pliers, scissors. Two people recommended.

Divan Assembly Steps

Unwrapping and Fittings

Carefully remove packaging, staples, and polythene. Dispose of or recycle packaging responsibly.

Attaching Glides and Castors

Push glides/castors into corner sockets and tap with a wooden/rubber mallet until home.

Attaching Legs and Feet

Screw bolts into threaded holes for legs. For square feet, screw bolts into holes 1 and 2 securely.

Connecting Divan Bases

Stand divan halves on side and attach U clips as indicated in the diagram to connect them.

Drawer Storage

Cut temporary restraining straps to release drawers. Avoid pulling straps off as they may tear fabric.

Attaching a Headboard

Decide headboard end, pierce fabric where holes are felt, and attach headboard using bolts.

Strutted Headboards

Place headboard bolt into hole, fasten, and lower headboard before fully tightening. Height is adjustable.

Full Height Headboards

Pierce fabric, align headboard and divan holes, thread bolt through, and tighten. Use provided fittings.

Ottoman Storage Instructions

Unwrapping the Ottoman Base

Remove polythene and card packaging. Ensure polythene is out of reach of children. Remove packaging staples.

Full Ottoman Preparation

Tools needed: screwdrivers, mallet, bradawl, scissors. Assembly requires minimum two people.

Castor/Glide Connection

Remove lid ties, take care as lid may open. Hammer castors/glides into corner sockets. Turn base onto castors.

Base Connection

Identify connecting holes on base units. Pierce fabric using bradawl for female/male connectors. Align and connect.

Lid Connection

Identify connecting holes on lid inner sides. Pierce fabric, insert female/male connectors, and screw together.

Headboard Connection

Locate threaded inserts on head end of base unit. Pierce fabric and insert headboard bolt.
