Bringing up the lower thread

Houdt de bovendraad met de linker hand vast. Draai het
handwiel naar u toe, zodat de naald naar beneden gaat en
weer naar boven komt. (1)
Trek aan de bovendraad, waardoor de onderaad door het
steekplaatgat omhoog getrokken wordt. Leg hierna beide
draden schuin naar achteren onder de naaivoet door. (2)
Hold the upper thread with the left hand. Turn the
handwheel forwards until the needle is raised. (1)
Pull on the upper thread to bring the lower thread up
through the stitch plate hole. Lay both threads to the back
under the presser foot. (2)
